Reactoonz 2 slot is colourful nonsense which can spew out wins of 1-2000x bet although wins anywhere near the Play'n Go 5,000x claim are very, very rare. The RTP is 96.20% and the base game does produce some decent hits in its own right but anything substantial needs you to fill that Quantumeter fully when you then trigger a lengthy sequence of. Equipped with seven bonus features and five quantum features, we’re looking at a high volatile video slot with a max win of 750 times your stake, this charming little slot packs a lot more punch.
After giving their 2013 slot, Energoonz, a touch up in 2017 to release Reactoonz, Play’n Go is now back with Reactoonz 2. Certainly one of their most anticipated releases of the year, and one that sparked numerous debates upon release. Debates? Well, to be honest, nope. These were more like uproars as fans weren’t pleased with its potential, which was weaker than that of Reactoonz 1. After all, releasing a follow-up that’s not better than the original through and through doesn’t make sense.
In case you are wondering, the developers did hearken. They were forced back to the drawing board to bump up the slot’s potential from about 3000X to about 5000X.
The original game was popular with many prominent Twitch casino streamers, such as Mrgambleslots and Bidule. The sequel promises even more fun and even bigger wins.
So, are we good after that tweak? Only a thorough probing can give the definitive answer, so let’s get to it.

Carryovers and Alterations
Same as before, players head back to a parallel universe populated by playful aliens. A look around reveals some familiar faces, the most notable being the star energoon from Energoonz and Gargantoon alias Gaga from the original Reactoonz. You also take note of the carryover-7X7 grid on which players form clusters of identical symbols. Just a quick reminder, symbol clusters will only trigger payouts when at least five of a kind connect horizontally or vertically.
Reactoonz 2 is playable with bets ranging from €/£/$ 0.20 to 100 on any device, just like its predecessor. The volatility setting also remains unaltered at 8/10, while the RTP dips by 0.31% to 96.2%. In other words, no alteration on the math model stats big enough to influence the gameplay, especially in the short-run.
Lastly, the aliens from the original slot make a slightly weaker comeback on the paytable. Weaker why? Well, payouts for the two-eyed aliens drop from values of up to 750X to 500X, while payout values for the one-eyed ones remain the same.
Win Boosting Reactions
The original was all about getting up to five charges on the Quantum Leap to trigger the Gargantoon feature preceded by four quantum features, namely implosion, incision, demolition, and alteration. There was also a good chance of being awarded four to eight wilds on a non-winning spin, not to mention the Giantoonz and Fluctuations that would award X2 booster multipliers and double wilds, respectively. Let’s not get into the details because our focus here is on the sequel.
Reactoonz 2 doesn’t stray much from the original when it comes to the win boosting reactions. Instead of the quantum leap, we get a fluctometer that makes the sequel all about electric wilds. How exactly does this work?
On each spin, a variant of the one-eyed aliens becomes the fluctuating symbol. If involved in a winning combination, an electric wild is left behind. Important to mention, the fluctometer can hold up to 11 charges, forming 1-3 wilds when fully charged.
Electric Wilds
Electric wilds can help complete a winning combination by substituting for any regulars, thus removing them. The symbol count removed from the grid by the electric wilds is recorded on the quantumeter, which is just below the fluctometer.
The quantumeter can hold up to 135 charges spread over four levels. 55 charges for level 1, 85 for level two, 110 for level three, and 135 for an overcharge.
Level 1
Reach level one to unleash four 1X1 energoon wilds. 55 charges from the quantumeter will be utilized.
Level 2
30 charges are used up as a 2X2 wild is awarded.
Charge to the Third Bar
Energoon wilds are unlocked if you manage to charge up to the third bar.
Level 3 and Overcharge
A 3X3 gargantoon wild is unleashed if the third bar is charged fully (level 3). An X2 multiplier is applied to the payout of each winning cluster if you manage to get to overcharge (beyond level 3).

After triggering a cascade, 3X3 gargantoon wilds are replaced by 2X2 and 1X1 gagas on consecutive rounds only if the cascades continue. Important to note, gargantoons will disable both the fluctometer and the quantumeter. Also, uncharged wilds can appear on any cascade. These have a chance of transforming into electric wilds when adjacent to a winning cluster or when the wild pair explosion (discussed below) is triggered.
Wild Pair Explosion
The said feature will be triggered if there are still two or more electric wilds left on the grid after all the features have played out. Lucky for you if they are adjacent because the entire grid will be cleared.
Reactoonz 2- Our Verdict
Reactoonz 2 achieves the purpose of a sequel. There is no doubt about that. It feels more solid, rewarding, and looks better than the original. Of course, that could not have been achieved without some tweaks during the deployment phase of the SDLC, though. A bold move that showed a developer that has the interests of the audience at heart.

Get ready for the much-anticipated return of the friendly extra-terrestrials. Play’n GO are here with Reactoonz 2 Slot, and it promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
When Reactoonz released in 2017 it took Online Slots UK by storm with its exhilarating and exciting mechanics, so needless to say everyone is hyped about the return.
With Play’n GO releasing New Slots weekly, let’s take a deeper look into Reactoonz 2 as it has been launched already!
The Reactoonz Are Back!
Set upon a 7×7 cascading grid, Reactoonz 2 brings some of that familiarity that we know and love, but with a new and polished look as well as some new features.
All of the original crew are back for this sequel, including the 4-little one-eyed Reactoonz, the 4 bigger two-eyed ones, and of course, there is no Reactoonz without our favourite of them all, Gargantoon.
The game introduces some brand-new mechanics never seen before in the prequel, including Electric and Energoon Wilds, and we can’t wait to see how these new features contribute to the gameplay of a game that was already shockingly good before.
Of course, as well as new features, Reactoonz 2 will also stay true to the original with some of the more familiar mechanics.
Just like before the game will work via a Cluster Pays mechanic, where 5 identical aliens will need to connect either horizontally or vertically to win.
Of course, like before, the Wild symbol will stand in and substitute for any other symbol, helping you along the way on your endeavour to summon the mighty Gargantoon.
Wilds were certainly a formidable tool in the original game, and undoubtedly will be again. Let’s take a look at some of the new and exciting features at play in Reactoonz 2.
Electric Wild
This special type of Wild will not land on the grid-like a traditional Wild. These are created when the chosen symbol in the Fluctometer creates a winning cluster on the grid, and you will get one Wild for every cluster that the symbol creates.
Like any other Wild, the Electric Wild will substitute for any symbol, which will help to create more wins. If the Electric Wild was part of a win, it will destroy the symbols and all symbols of the same type from the grid.
If two or more Electric Wilds are present on the grid after this happens, then some different mechanics can trigger.
- If two of the Wilds are adjacent to each other then they will destroy every symbol on the grid, except for other wilds, which creates a new cascade.
- If there are no winning combinations on the new cascade, but two adjacent Wilds still exist, then they’ll destroy all the symbols once again. This is repeatable until there are no more adjacent Wilds left.
- If there are still Wilds on the grid, but none are adjacent to each other, then two will be picked at random and a line is drawn between them. All symbols in the path of the line will be destroyed. This will continue until there are less than two Electric Wilds left
Uncharged Wild
- Uncharged wilds are Electric Wilds created on the grid, but are not yet active. These can act as blockers until charged.
- To charge these, a cluster of wins will need to occur next to the symbol. These will also charge if two charged active Electric Wilds are on the grid.
Fluctometer
The Fluctometer sits above the grid. At the start of each round, a one-eyed Reactoon symbol will be chosen as the fluctuating symbol.
If the fluctuating symbol is removed from the grid, the Fluctometer will be charged. This can occur via a normal win, or when they are destroyed by Electric Wilds.
Once the meter is full, the Fluctometer will activate to grant you either 1, 2 or 3 Electric Wilds which will be placed randomly on the grid.
Quantumeter
The Quantumeter sees the return of The Engergoon, from the original game Engergoonz. The Quantumeter is the tool you’ll use to summon him and Gargantoon on to the screen.
The Quantummeter needs charging, to do this, Electric Wilds will need to be used as part of a winning cluster, or react to zap symbols. Each symbol counts as one charge, and there are 4 levels of charge that you can reach.
- Level 1 – 50 Charges
- Level 2 – 80 Charges
- Level 3 – 105 Charges
- Overcharge – 130+ Charges
Energoon Wild
Activating level 1 or 2 will grant an Energoon Wild. If you do reach these levels, the meter can be recharged by more symbols until level 3 is reached.
Reactoonz 2 Demo Minecraft
- Level 1 – Four 1×1 Engergoon Wilds will appear on the grid
- Level 2 – Two 2×2 Engergoon Wilds will appear on the grid

Gargantoon
If you reach level 3 you’ll be granted you a favourite symbol, Gargantoon!
Hitting level 3 will mean that the meter can not charge any more, but it can be overcharged to get an x2 multiplier on the Gargantoonz
Once level 3 is reached, all of the levels will consecutively trigger and is complete once all wins and cascades are finished.
- Level 3 – Giant 3×3 Gargantoon
- Overcharge – Adds a 2x multiplier to Gargantoon

Our Verdict
With all these new features at play, we can’t wait to see what surprises Reactoonz 2 has in store for us. The new features are pretty exhilarating and rather different from what we’re used to from Reactoonz.
Play’n GO aren’t messing about with this one, and want Reactoonz 2 to be as exciting as it can possibly be.
It’s got big shoes to fill considering the smash hit that was the first game, but we’ve got a feeling that the thought and innovation put into the sequel will be more than sufficient in catering to long time fans of the series.
Reactoonz 2 is available to play from October 1st 2020 at most Online Casinos UK.
